Sharing Knowledge: Advancing Innovation
The 2008 IYF Global Partner Meeting (GPM) will highlight the dual themes of innovation and learning in the field of youth development within the broader context of a rapidly changing world. Keynote speakers and panelists will spark discussions around how innovative technologies and other cutting-edge strategies are affecting Partner activities in the areas of education, employability, leadership, and health. Participants will be challenged to think “outside the box” by promoting a culture of innovation within their organizations. Sessions will identify significant knowledge gaps, review existing research, and highlight promising practices in the field. Invited speakers are drawn from across the Global Partner Network, and include corporate managers, NGO directors, youth leaders, and representatives from international institutions such as USAID, the World Bank, the ILO, and the World Health Organization (WHO). As always, the extraordinarily rich exchange of learnings, insights, and experiences among the Partners themselves remains at the heart of this bi-annual global gathering.
