Moving. . .Our Communities ForwardWe started this conference to fill a void. We see and attend conferences about alcohol all around the country. Regulators, bars, law enforcement agencies, hotels, distributors, community coalitions, insurers, fraternal organizations, manufacturers, alcohol retailers, universities...they all have their conferences or events, and alcohol is frequently a central topic at these gatherings. But no other conference...
- brings all these groups together
- provides a forum for discussing responsible drinking
- creates an opportunity for all these members of the community to interact, connect and engage each other in open dialogue
- emphasizes the need for people who sometimes disagree to work together to devise solutions
- focuses on moving our communities forward to a more mature and responsible culture that simply does not tolerate alcohol misuse any more.
Moving. . .From Local to NationalWe are committed to building those bridges and breaking those barriers. The TIPS program is based on respecting the contribution every server and seller makes to fostering responsible consumption in our communities. TIPS trainers bring the message of responsible consumption to every aspect of a community at the local level. The Alcohol Responsibility Conference is designed to address this issue at a national level, bringing together all members of the community from many, many communities.
Moving. . .TogetherIt will take all of us to effect the level of change we all want for our communities. It will take all of us coming together to put an end to alcohol misuse in our cities and towns. It will take the commitment to sharing our ideas and experiences with others we don't normally interact with to make lasting, wide-spread change by creating responsible communities nationwide.
