Plenary Session

Diverse Workers Across Generations

Presented by: Dr. E. Percil Stanford, Chief Diversity Officer, AARP

Description: Workforces of the 21st century are representative of more cultures than any time in our history. The significance is that historically, individuals from various cultural backgrounds were often associated with certain areas of work. Some were not allowed to work in some professions if they were of a particular background. Today's workforces may depend on a wide age range and diverse pool of individuals to meet workforce needs. Diversity in the workforce spans beyond the realm of culture and age. Other areas such as disabilities, LGBT, and gender will be explored.
