2010 CTA Conference Incentive Grants
The CTA Board of Directors will award a few more Minority and Small Chapter Incentive Grants for attendance at the following statewide winter/spring conferences:

Grants will also be offered for the summer conferences. Look for information about the Presidents Conference and Summer Institute in April 2010.
Types of Grants Available
Minority Incentive Grant – Minority members are defined as belonging to one of the following racial-ethnic groups: African American; American Indian/Alaska Native; Hispanic; Pacific Asian American. These grants are offered to encourage minority leadership within the Association.
Small Chapter Incentive Grant – will be awarded to small chapters with a unit size of 100 or fewer members. Unit size is defined as the number of persons who are represented for purposes of collective bargaining. The chapter membership may be less than the unit size. Please note: Small chapter grants are not available for the Urban Issues Conference.
Small Urban Chapter Incentive Grant – will be offered for the Urban Issues Conference to urban chapters with a unit size of 150 or fewer unit members.
Special Small Chapter Full Incentive Grants – will be offered for Rural Issues Conference participants from chapters with a unit size of ten or fewer members. In addition to the conference fee and covered transportation costs, this grant pays for substitute cost for release time and housing based on two conference participants per room.
Special Under-Represented Groups (White Male, and Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender) Grants – will be offered for Equity and Human Rights Conference participants. See details in the conferences section of this registration form.
No need to fill out multiple applications. By completely filling out all the information in the following application, you will assure that you will be considered for any and all grant types for which you are qualified.
All grants include payment of the conference fee and transportation costs. Transportation reimbursement: Airfare will be reimbursed at the lowest round-trip airfare into the airport serving the conference city. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS rate of reimbursement per mile, not to exceed the cost of the most economical coach airfare. Currently the IRS rate is 55 cents per mile. All other transportation costs are the responsibility of the chapter, or individual.
