Are you interested in learning about Resource Description and Access (RDA)? Please join RDA experts John Hostage, from Harvard Law School Library and Richard Amelung, from Saint Louis University Omer Poos Law Library as they give an overview of RDA, and discuss how the new code will assist in finding resources and impact staff and other library functions.
Learning Outcomes:
Participants will gain knowledge of how RDA fits into the changing bibliographic landscape.
Participants will be able to identify pertinent implementation issues associated with application of RDA principles.
Speakers:Richard C. Amelung, Saint Louis University School of Law
Richard Amelung is the Associate Director at the Saint Louis University School of Law Library. He is also Director of the Law School's Center for International and Comparative Law. He is a frequent national and regional speaker on technical services and library management topics. He recently served as AALL's representative on the Library of Congress's Working Group for the Future of Bibliographic Control.
John Hostage, Harvard Law School Library
John Hostage is Authorities and Database Integrity Librarian at the Harvard Law School Library. He has been involved with law cataloging since 1982 and has been active in cataloging-related committees of ALA, AALL, and IFLA.
