Option A: Bamboo Fusion (held at Guest House Inn & Suites)

The Bamboo-fusion massage treatment is an innovative way to provide relaxation or deep tissue full body massage on the table while reducing stress on the therapists’ hands. Students will learn a new way to effleurage and petrissage with “warmed” bamboo tools that are different shapes and sizes. Each tool was designed with a specific muscle group in mind.
The course is 80% hands-on time and 20% lecture. During lecture, the modality history will be discussed as well as a review on contraindications, marketing, and the proper care/cleaning of the bamboo tool sets. Therapists will be taught proper body mechanics to help deliver a luxurious deep tissue massage. When using the bamboo properly as taught in class, the client cannot detect that tools are being utilized. Bamboo-fusion massage is easy on your hands to perform so therapists will be able to increase the amount of clients you can apply deep tissue to, give longer sessions without fatigue, and also save their thumbs and wrists from repetitive use injuries.

You should have a total of 4 classes totaling 16CE hrs.
Class #1: Begin Working Smarter Not Harder
A guide to enhancing your longevity and outcomes- is one of the most powerful ways to extend your career and skills as a massage therapist. This workshop will teach you how to blend your skills with language of the nervous system. In addition we will help you develop more efficient and effective communication. Effective communication is essential to the growth of your practice and the outcomes of your therapy. We will share with you tools and techniques to facilitate greater results for your sessions. You will learn:
- how to use touch to communicate with the Nervous System
- how to get your clients to work with you
- how to evaluate your mechanics during a session to decrease the wear and tear of performing massage and boost your outcomes
- how to communicate with your clients to find ‘the common goal
will help any level therapist increase their outcomes by using the body’s homeostatic mechanisms. We will share three key concepts that were born out of Osteopathic medicine that are interlaced with what we do everyday as massage professionals. This workshop will discuss the different rhythms associated with the CranioSacral system. We will demonstrate simple techniques and discuss their everyday applications. Our presentation will introduce students to the amazing world of CranioSacral Therapy. You will learn:
- where CranioSacral Therapy was born and the concepts it is founded on
- how to palpate the CranioSacral Rhythm and use it to enhance your massage
- how to reset the CranioSacral system to increase homeostasis
- techniques that can be used everyday in your practice in nearly seamless fashion
Class #3: Reiki Level 1
will give the student a brief overview of Reiki History, discussion of Reiki principals, basic information on Reiki Symbols, and hands on work with Reiki Energy. This class will also include information on level one attunement and self healing work. Each student will leave with level one attunement, certificate of attunement in hand and be able to give Reiki to him or herself.
