PANTHER PARENT AMBASSADORS

The Office of Parent and Family Resources is committed to keeping our parents informed about Pitt programs and services. We strive to strengthen relationships and form partnerships between parents and the University. That is why we haved created Panther Parent Ambassadors. Parent Ambassadors will assist and enhance parent programming in regional areas as well as on campus, and create hospitable parent communities.

Mission
To strengthen relationships between the University and parents, to serve all Pitt parents with support and resource guidance, and to further ensure the success of all Pitt students.

Activities
Senior Send-offs are one of the ways that Parent Ambassadors will share their experience and “Pitt Parent Expertise” with incoming freshmen students and their parents. These casual, comfortable, events are held in regional areas where Pitt has concentrations of incoming freshmen, and are sometimes held in conjunction with a Pitt Alumni Club.

Scranton, PA
Lehigh Valley, PA
Harrisburg, PA
Erie, PA
Buffalo, NY
Northern New Jersey
Baltimore, MD/Washington DC Area
Houston, TX

Potential areas for Senior Send-offs include:

Pittsburgh, PA
Cleveland, OH
Columbus, OH
Cincinnati, OH
New York City
Chicago
Other areas where we have pockets of students and motivated Parent Ambassadors!

In addition, Ambassadors may participate in on-campus activities such as Facility Tours, Parent Panel Discussions/Webinars, Parent and Family Orientation, and Family Weekend. Membership Fee:
$50 per year, per parent due September 30

All Parents and Families
