Welcome...We're so glad that you're here! This is our second year of the automated the application process. It allows the Fiber College planning committee to stay in better touch with you, our valued teachers, throughout the summer.
You may apply to teach up to 3 classes on this application. In a moment you will be asked to describe your class(es), itemize the supply list you will provide, list what a student must bring to class and upload a photograph from your computer of the completed project. If at anytime you experience frustrations with the application process, please don't hesitate to call Astrig at 207-548-6059 after you have read the notes of help scattered through out the application.
The system will ask you to enter your e-mail address to begin the registration process. If you attended Fiber College last year an instructor, vendor or a student the system will recognize your e-mail address and fill in your contact information. If the system recognizes your e-mail address but you have forgotten the password you used last year (we know, it only happens to us), you can change your password by clicking the "forgot your password" link to the left of your e-mail address.
At the bottom of this page you will see "view and change your existing registration." After you enter your e-mail address you can click this link to modify your class proposals or change your contact information.
The classes offered at Fiber College 2013 will be chosen by a jury based on the project description, photograph, and our focused intent to keep the offerings fresh, expansive and interesting for a wide variety of students and ability levels. In response to student requests, we are hoping for team-teaching...if you have a friend who can teach one component, and you teach another so that the students have a The last day for applications will be March 1st and teachers will be notified by March 15th.
All instructors will be paid at the end of each class. Your teaching rate will be $10/student/hour plus any material fees you collect at the start of your workshop.
When you have completed this form you will be asked to pay $3.95 by MasterCard or Visa. If one or more of your classes is chosen by the Jury for September, you will receive a $5 coupon towards food at the Fiber College food booth. You can edit or add classes to this registration form at a later date (but before March 1st) at no additional cost.
