FJMC 2011 International Convention Registration

Instructions and Guidelines

1. Welcome to the simplified Convention 2011 Registration Website. This form should be used to register for all aspects of the 2011 Convention. You will be able to register for:

Your room during convention

Your room for up to 3 additional days before and after convention

The pre-convention activities

If your spouse and/or children are attending, you can register for any of the women’s and children’s activities

In addition, you will have the opportunity to

Join the International Kiddush Club

Make a donation to the FJMC 100

2. You can register now for your room and some of these activities, and can return at a later time to register for additional ones.

3. You will be asked to identify yourself as an FJMC member, a Speaker/Staff, a Clergy member (invited by Rabbi Simon), or a Guest. If you are not a Speaker or Staff, but you are not currently a member of an FJMC Men’s Club, identify yourself as an FJMC member anyway but select “other” when you are asked for the Club name. Guest registration allows anyone who is NOT registered for convention or NOT staying at the hotel to sign up for some of the special events.

4. You will be asked if you are attending the Full Convention (staying in the hotel on Wed. through Sat. nights) or Partial Convention.

5. If you will attend Convention with family members (spouse and/or children) who will be staying in the same room, you will be able to register as a group. To do this you will enter your information, and then you will be given the opportunity to "Add Another Person", if you want to register additional group members. For each person in your group, you will be asked to provide identifying information.

6. Payment options will be Mastercard, Visa, or check.

7. Suite reservations: There are a limited number of suites available. If you want to reserve a suite, please contact the Convention Chair at myles.a.simpson@fjmc.org

FJMC CONVENTION POLICIES

All registrations that include Friday night hotel reservations will also include Saturday night reservations. No allowance will be made for delegates to leave or arrive on Shabbat.
3 day registrations are only available for Thursday night to Sunday morning
2 day reservations may be made for Wednesday night to Friday morning or Friday night to Sunday morning.
Commuters prices are available for attendees who live within 100 miles of the convention hotel. Commuter Prices are available for Thursday and Friday only, and include breakfast and lunch only. Remember, we begin early and end late!
We reserve the right to accept or reject any registration.

CHILDREN

Children 3 to 17 - If sharing the room with two adults, cost will be $50/night meal charge per child -- must be registered in this system
Children 18 & above - If sharing room with two adults, cost will be $115/night meal charge per child -- must be registered in this system
If an additional room is required for children, then the room cost will be at the extended stay price of $130 per day, and the meal cost will be $50 per night per child 3-17 or $115 per night per child 18 & above. There is an opportunity to select a child's room on the site and later to specify that is adjoining.
Children under 3 - FREE in parent's room -- does not need to be registered in this system

Schedule and Travel

Make your plans to be at the hotel by noon on Wednesday, July 13. Registration begins at 9:30 A.M. Opening ceremonies will be at 2:00 P.M., so definitely arrive before then. Arrange your departure from the hotel for after 12:30 P.M. on Sunday, July 17. For those of you flying, there are three airports in the area (by distance from the hotel): John Wayne Airport, Santa Ana (SNA); Long Beach Airport, Long Beach (LGB); Los Angeles International Airport, Los Angeles (LAX).

Extending your stay

We have arranged for extensions to your stay at the Orange County Hilton, should you wish to come early or stay later. For THREE (3) Days BEFORE and/or THREE (3) Days AFTER, the rate is $130 per night per full room, or $65 per night sharing. We will attempt to find roommates for those who request a shared room. There will be activities taking place before the convention, including the 5th FJMC Invitational Golf Tournament, and the Hotel is centrally located in Southern California to serve as a home base for touring local sites and visiting attractions like Disneyland, Hollywood, etc.

Cancellations

If someone cancels his or her convention registration after having paid by credit card, the refund will be by check. Full refunds will be given more than one month prior to the convention, but if the reservation was paid by credit card, there will be a deduction of up to 5% to cover the service fee of the credit card company. Those canceling less than one month before the convention will forfeit an amount equivalent to the registration fee. Exceptions to this rule must be approved in writing by the convention chairman or his designee. There will be a service fee for those who change their reservation more than once.
