Online RegistrationThe 21st annual Association for Computing Machinery's (ACM) "Computers, Freedom and Privacy" late registration is closed. On site registration will be available starting at 7:30 am Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Georgetown University Law School. ACM members can register at a special conference rate. If you are an AMC member you will need your ACM registration number to complete the CFP registration process. Join ACM.
This year's conference theme is Computers Freedom and Privacy: "The Future is Now, will take place at the beautiful Georgetown University Law School, 600 New Jersey Avenue, NW, which is not located on the main campus, but near Union Station (red line). We have engaged multi-stakeholder participation in the conference, which will showcase panels, workshops, and plenary sessions on questions facing the future of the Internet. CFP 2011 attendees who register at the full conference rate may attend the Monday, June 13, 2011 session of The First Summit on the Future of Health Privacy our official pre-conference meeting at no additional cost.
The theme of CFP2011 (http://cfp.org/2011) is “The Future is Now.” The issues to be explored include:
- The role of social media in the democracy movement in the Middle East and North Africa
- Technology and social media to support human rights;
- The impact of mobile personal computing technology on freedom and privacy;
- Smart grid, e-health records, consumer location-based advertising. Cybersecurity, cloud computing, net neutrality, federated ID, ubiquitous surveillance.
