Youth Leadership School is designed to be an intensive learning experience. The days will be long, varied and demanding, with little free time. The community we create together will be safe, supportive and fun — aiming to give each participant as full a sense of his or her own developing leadership skills as is possible in one short week. This is not a setting for anyone who might be dealing with personal life crises and it is not a conference. Days are highly structured and participation in all aspects of the school is required. The adult to youth ratio is about 1:4, so there will be ample adult support for students.

To complete your registration for Youth Midwest Leadership School you will need to print out the consent and permission form, fill it out and BRING IT WITH YOU. DOWNLOAD HERE.

NOTE TO CONGREGATIONS: If you are paying for your youth to attend, they still need to fill out their own registration forms! Here is the best way to proceed:

1. Remember that no more than 4 from a congregation may attend YLS, plus no more than 4 may attend MWLS. Example: 2 Youth at YLS and 3 Adults at MWLS = 5 total but no more than 4 at each school, so that is okay.

2. If you have more than one attendee, call the District office for the group discount code - 312-636-9724.

3. Ask all your youth to register (using that group discount code where prompted) and choosing the "pay by check" option. MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY MAY 1 to get the discount!

4. After all have registered, either: a) send a check to the District office, or b) call the District office to pay by credit/debit card.

5. Remember that each person needs to have their own e-mail address.

You will have the opportunity to add additional group members later in the registration process. If there are fees associated with this event, the total fees for all registrants in the group will be charged to the first person in the group. If members of the group are paying individually (for example, with different credit cards), you must create separate registrations for each.
