Vine to Wine-How Grapevine Leafroll Disease Affects Grapes & Wines
An Interactive Workshop Hosted by:
WSU Viticulture & Enology Program and Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers

Presented by: Naidu Rayapati and Jim Harbertson

The innovative, multidisciplinary research at WSU is unearthing new knowledge on impacts of grapevine leafroll disease on grape yield and quality and how the quality of berries from infected plants is impacting wine quality. The research-based knowledge is enabling wineries and growers to better comprehend the complex nature of the disease under conditions in Washington vineyards and develop strategies to mitigate negative impacts on fruit and wine quality.
