Speed DUI Seminar
Speed DUI....a new, fast moving format in DUI seminars. The DUI laws have changed dramatically effective January 1, 2012. Some DUI cases are no longer eligible for jury trials - what's up with that? Major changes were also made in the sentencing of DUI cases from jail terms to eligibility for home detention. The changes are numerous, substantial and critical information for anyone handling DUI cases. There are so many changes we are including a light lunch and beverage in your registration fee and running straight through the lunch hour to cover all. The lineup of speakers ranges from forensic experts to legislators and from Phoenix's Assistant Presiding Judge to some of the best DUI defense practitioners in the state. The format for this seminar will be a wide range of topics covered in to-the-point 15 to 45 minute presentations and will end at 2:30 p.m. so you can go out and sleep soundly during the three-day weekend knowing you are up-to-date on the latest in DUI law and practice. This seminar format is ideal for everyone; defense attorneys, prosecutors, and judges.

Topics include: Perspectives on the new law from a judge, legislator, and DUI practitioners; the new sentencing provisions; changes in home detention; challenging notice and priors in aggravated DUI cases; Corpus; Motions in Limine; DUI Forensic Issues; E-Discovery; and more....

Faculty will include: Phoenix Assistant Presiding Judge Eric Jeffery, Representative David Burnell Smith, Beth Barnes (GOHS/Phoenix Prosecutor Office), Stephen Barnard, Jim Nesci, Cliff Girard, Brian Sloan, Tamara Brooks-Primera, David Fuller, Chester Flaxmayer, Aaron Black, Kris Califano, Michael Traher and, to keep things moving, the moderators will be Christopher McBride and Gary Kula.

So join us January 13th and buckle up your seat belt as SPEED DUI ushers in a new way of learning the things you need to know to be successful in your handling of DUI cases.
