Welcome to the Summit!

This annual event offers educational and technical sessions designed specifically for the production and use of compost in New England’s climate and soils. Compost is one of the most effective ways we have to improve soil structure and protect water quality. At the same time, diverting organic materials from landfills to composting is a climate change action that provides a valuable, renewable resource for farmland and landscape fertility, and plant health.   VORS 2012 will explore how composting and the use of compost can help Vermont communities on issues such as erosion, stormwater, conservation, climate change and farm viability.

Please join us for a day of
