   Huppin's began as a small tailor shop in 1908, selling men’s clothing and then transitioning into a pawnbroker. The store sold military uniform insignia during WWII, and then added luggage, and then started selling camera and audio equipment in the 1950’s.  During the 1970s, Huppin’s eliminated the clothing and pawnbroker business to focus on photo and hi-fi gear, and more recently expanded into installing custom home theater systems. In 2010, Huppin’s established a second retail store in North Spokane. The store launched OneCall, its internet site, in 1994. OneCall was ranked in Internet Retailer’s Top 20 Consumer Electronics retailer web sites of 2008
.Murray K. Huppin grew up working in the family business founded by his great-grandfather. He began his career as an account representative with Proctor & Gamble in Los Angeles, and came back to Spokane to re-join the family business in 1984, becoming President and CEO in 1997.  He led the team in launching the OneCall division in 1994, positioning the company for long-term growth and profitability. Murray serves on the boards of PRO Group and GreenCupboards, and is VP of the Main Market Co-op and an active member of Spokane Rotary Club 21. He attended Business School at the University of Washington, graduating in 1982.
