Please read the following instructions before registration:

Step 1*:
Schedule your audition date and time by clicking "Register Now".

*Voice candidates may register for a live audition but must also submit a pre-screeing video to be considered for that live audition. Pending favorable evaluation of voice pre-screened video submissions, audition date requests will be scheduled and confirmed.

Step 2:
All candidates must complete an application to the University, in addition to scheduling their audition.

Step 3:
Each performance area has its own requirements for your audition. Please view and prepare the required undergraduate or graduate audition repertoire for your instrument of study.

Step 4:
If you are a Music Composition candidate, please upload two to five submissions of your composition work in PDF score format with MP3 recordings (MIDI versions are acceptable if no live recording is available) at our Music Audition account manager. Please also upload a1-2 page written statement of your composition interest, background, and goals.

If you would like to schedule an audition with the Meadows School of the Arts but have conflicts with the standing audition dates, please email us at music@smu.edu to request a private audition. If you need to reschedule or cancel a standing audition appointment, contact us at 214-768-3680. Candidates are not allowed to make revisions to their audition arrangements online. Please contact us to do so.
