Plain Talk in Complex Times

September 6-7, 2012  |  Arlington, VA

Who should attend Plain Talk?

This conference is ideal for public health professionals, educators, medical practitioners, community advocates, writers, designers, translators, and anyone else who must communicate effectively with health consumers.

What does registration include?

  • Eight free preconference workshops to build your skills for communicating about health—in person, on the Web, and in print.
  • Networking with experts in plain language, usability, new media, design, accessibility, and non-verbal communication. 
  • Continuing education credits for doctors, nurses, health educators, and other professionals (see CE page for details).
  • Two days of speakers, discussion panels, and hands-on training, plus time to meet with colleagues.
  • Opening night cocktail reception and hors d'oeuvres. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks so good you’ll forget you're at a conference.

Does Plain Talk offer scholarships?

Travel scholarships and reduced conference rates are available for community-based organizations. Students and active members of the military are eligible for discounted registration. Please contact Precision Meetings & Events at (703) 739-4480 for more information.

Does Plain Talk offer group discounts?

Yes! Register three or more participants from your organization at the same time and each group member will receive a $50 discount.
