The 59th Fall Family Medicine Review provides five days of outstanding continuing medical education on recent developments in patient management for Primary Care Physicians, Physician Assistants, Advanced Practice Nurses, Residents and AHPs.  The Family Medicine Review is presented by expert faculty members of the University of Colorado School of Medicine in a format of morning lectures and afternoons of interactive workshops.  The pursose of the Family Medicine Review is to improve knowledge, skills, competence, performance and patient outcomes.
  

Learning/Performance Objectives

At the conclusion of the conference learners should be able to:

  1. Interpret bone density results and treat osteoporosis/penia in postmenopausal women
  2. Perform an appropriate evaluation of patients with chest pain and initiate therapy for MI
  3. Diagnose current infection and prescribe treatment for patients at risk for TB
  4. Identify clinical infections where antibiotics are appropriate vs. inappropriate in an office setting
  5. Counsel women who have ovaries regarding early symptoms of ovarian cancer and screening tests
  6. Implement an appropriate evaluation for patients with a detected thyroid nodule

 

Workshops     

The
Family Medicine Review consists of lectures and workshops.  Learners will have the opportunity to select from multiple 1-1.5 hour interactive workshops during the week.

We are going green!

In the interest of going "Green" all attendess will receive the course proceedings on a flashdrive at the conference.  Additionally, the course proceedings will be available online 2 weeks prior to the conference. If you would prefer a printed version of the course proceedings it is available for an additional $50. 

Registration fee includes a $100 non-refundable administrative charge.  No refunds are available for cancellations after October 21st, 2012 or for non-attendance.  Onsite registration is an additional $50 fee.
