What: Riding On Insulin Ski & Snowboard Camp, hosted by pro snowboarder Sean Busby
Who: Kids ages 7-17 with type 1 diabetes, and their siblings (no ski/board experience necessary)
Where: CairnGorm Mountain, Scotland
Schedule: Participants will go through the day in groups, learning to ski/snowboard at their individual levels with coaches (most of whom have type 1 diabetes) who will provide instruction and medical volunteers, who will provide assistance with diabetes management. To conclude the day, there will be time to mingle with sponsors, a dinner buffet banquet will be served, and awards will be given at the banquet after a presentation from Riding On Insulin founder, Sean Busby. For parents: Parents and families are welcome to attend the event, and either ski on their own, or network with other families affected by diabetes in the morning at a parent networking session.
