Market insights and solutions for cap
and closure makers and their suppliers

Caps and closures makers and their suppliers will gather in suburban Chicago next Sept. 17-18 for Plastics News’ third annual Plastics Caps & Closures conference.

Confirmed speakers include Matt Bowersox, senior vice president of Houlihan Lokey, who will provide insight into mergers & acquisitions, and Jack Shedd, vice president of business development for injection molder Hoffer Plastics Corp. of South Elgin, Ill., which recently was named Plastics News’ 2012 Processor of the Year. (See the related story here.)

The 2013 event will build on the success of the previous events and will include timely information about processing technologies, new materials, tooling, recycling, business and other macro-economic trends affecting this market.

On the technical side of the market, likely topics for the 2013 event include the market for closure liners and resealable closures.

A change from original plans

The Chicago-based Closure & Container Manufacturers Association had planned to again organize its Fall Conference to coincide with our Caps & Closures conference. However, on March 11 the CCMA announced it will be merging into the International Society of Beverage Technologists (read PN's story on the deal). ISBT and CCMA have pledged to support the Caps conference, but will not organize their own event alongside it this year.
