Overview:
This 1.5 day conference is co-sponsored by the University of Colorado College of Nursing Office of Lifelong Learning and Children's Hospital Colorado Advanced Practice Council, with support from the CU Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Course Description:
This conference will provide clinical updates in evidence-based care for a variety of diagnoses for advanced practice providers. In addition, many of the presentations integrate pharmacy content presented by expert clinical pharmacists.  Professional issues related to practice will also be addressed. Day one offers plenary sessions in the morning with four breakout session options in the afternoon. Day two includes plenary sessions with a Closing Keynote address during lunch to conclude the conference.  

Target Audience:
Advanced Practice Nurses, Physician Assistants, Pharmacists, Physicians, and other health care professionals who are seeking updated information for practice specific to the provider role in caring for pediatric and young adult populations in primary, ambulatory, urgent and acute care settings.

Students are welcome, although we are unable to offer a student discount.

Continuing Education Credit:
Nurses:
The University of Colorado College of Nursing is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Colorado Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

This offering for 11.5 contact hours is provided by the College of Nursing (7.25 hours on April 29th and 4.25 hours on April 30th). Pharmacology specific content will be calculated and reflected on the contact hour certificate.

Physician Assistants and Physicians 
CME Credit:

Children’s Hospital Colorado is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Children’s Hospital Colorado designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).™

Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. American Academy of Physician Assistants accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) ™ for organizations accredited by the ACCME.

Pharmacists:
The University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This conference provides 6.5 contact hours of knowledge-based education and 2.0 contact hours of application-based education (workshops). To receive CPE credit, participants must submit a completed statement of attendance and complete evaluations. CE statements will be distributed within 6 weeks.

NAPNAP:
NAPNAP approved credit will be provided by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Inquire at the conference information desk to sign in specifically for this credit option.

Any commercial support provided to the conference will be acknowledged verbally and in writing at the conference and will meet the standards of commercial support for AACME, ANCC and ACPE.
