LEAD 2013: 
Legislative Education and Advocacy Day
February 11-12, 2013
Denver, CO

The focus of year's LEAD will be a bill to address systemic problems in child custody cases.  Both survivors of domestic violence and advocates have struggled with these issues for years. The Coalition's legislation will make meaningful changes to domestic relations and civil protection order laws as they relate to child custody actions involving domestic violence or child abuse.  Click here for a fact sheet on the bill.

Join your voice with advocates from across the state to educate your legislators on this significant and necessary legislative change.  All participants are encouraged to set appointments with their Colorado legislators.  You will be responsible for making appointments with your legislators.  If you don't know who represents your district, check out this spreadsheet.

Evening reception for legislators and advocates.  Join us in the historic Brown Palace Club for some casual conversation and connection with legislators.  This is a great opportunity to raise the profile of the Coalition and our causes with legislators from across the state.

CCADV Members: $50 per person
Non-Members: $75 per person

DVP-Level CCADV Members will be reimbursed for one hotel room at the group rate.   Please note that due to changes in grant funding, there is no mileage reimbursement for this meeting.
