The residential building and construction market is the focus for Plastics Building Innovations 2013, a new conference being organized by Plastics News next Nov. 12-14 in Atlanta.

Building and construction is the second-largest end-market for the use of plastic material by volume. Residential products include windows and doors, roofing, siding, fascia, soffit, fence, pipe, deck and railing, among others, and involve all the major plastics processes. The long-term prospects for more stable raw materials pricing open the door to greater use of plastics in this rebounding industry.

This conference will help plastics processors understand the demands of builders and their suppliers in delivering innovative new products, emerging construction techniques, sustainable building practices, code compliance and issues specific to plastics such as the evolving state of wood-plastic composites. The role plastics will play in green-home and energy-efficient technologies will be discussed in detail, including the business opportunities they will present for plastics processors. The program also will address merger-and-acquisition activity and general business trends in this sector.

Target Audience: Plastics processors and other building professionals who want to learn about product developments, growth opportunities, new technologies and market potential for the various plastics used in the residential construction market.
