COURSE DESCRIPTION:  Advances in cochlear implant technology
have necessitated changes in the design and fitting of Bionic Ear
recipients. Therefore, it is essential for centers to ensure that their
implant team is familiar and comfortable with the latest developments
in technology offered by Advanced Bionics.
This two-day workshop introduces clinicians to the basic principles of
cochlear implant design, signal processing, and current concepts in
fitting the Harmony HiResolution Bionic Ear System. Clinicians will  
receive hands-on instruction in fitting techniques, troubleshooting,
clinical applications for objective measures, and much more.
Group participation is encouraged as it provides the
opportunity for a more interactive learning experience.

LEARNER OUTCOMES:
1. Following completion of this course, participants will be able to describe how a
    cochlear implant works and identify patient candidacy criteria.

2. Following completion of this course, participants will be able to identify
    the components of the Harmony HiResolution Bionic Ear System. 
 
3. Following completion of this course, participants will be able to create
    a HiRes program for the Harmony BTE using the SoundWave software.

4. Following completion of this course, participants will be able to list three
    unique benefits of the Harmony BTE processor.

TRAVEL TIPS: If you are traveling from out of town, you should arrive in
St. Louis, MO on Tuesday, March 15, as we start bright and early on
Wednesday morning.
