Calling all athletes!

The Road to FAME is fast becoming a multi-lane expressway and it is being constructed with the bricks of your achievements! 

Each day introduces new and innovative developments in the FAME organization and we are excited to announce some administrative changes to the 2008 FAME World Tour which will affect you directly!

We have listened to your suggestions and have created a new competition ladder that adds a new dimension of excitement and challenge. Now, ONLY the highest level athletes can reach the top tier of the FAME World Championships, making this the elite showcase of your accomplishments.

The best vs. the best!

To reach this ULTIMATE competition plateau, all athletes must first advance along the FAME ladder of success by competing in a REGIONAL show. Winning &/or placing well in a Regional show will then determine if you can advance a Level and actually participate on the FAME World Championship competition stage!

These new developments will not only create added excitement, but also raise the level of competition at each event and make the Regional shows a mandatory component for competition success!

Know that when you hit the stage at the FAME World Championships that you are truly going to be tested. The competition will be tough, the expectations high, and the win…. Glorious!

New Guidelines for the Worlds:

·      The FAME World Championships features the WNSO Pro Show as the exclusive highlight event of the weekend (Saturday night).

·      The only other athletes who can compete at the FAME World Championships (on Friday & Sunday) are those who have attained their Advanced/Elite status (Level 3/4) or those who compete in the general categories of age, pairs, bikini, muscle model & physically/mentally challenged.

 
An Athlete’s Journey:

·      Athletes MUST pre-qualify at a REGIONAL event where they must secure Level 3, Level 4 &/or Pro Status in order to reach the World Championship event making this an ultimate, exclusive competition of the highest caliber.

·      FAME Regional Shows act as Pro Qualifiers! Attend a Regional show and gain your Level 3 status!

·      FAME Regional Shows provide the ONLY competition opportunity for athletes to move up the Competition Tier System from Level 2 & Level 3.

·      Regional shows allow for added exposure and a chance to impress. Show your best form to both Judges and Sponsors. Remember this is your opportunity to shine! Use the Regional events to build your momentum and showcase your abilities. Gather momentum, photos, awards and results and channel those into lucrative sponsorship dollars!

·      Athletes who have already established their credentials with Level 3, Level 4 &/or Pro Status are granted eligibility to the FAME World Championships without being required to compete at a Regional Event, however we encourage all Level 3 athletes to use our Regional Events as promotional opportunities for yourself and your sponsors. And of course it is always good to psyche-out the competition!

How to Advance to the Next Level:

Level 1 to Level 2: 

All athletes and newcomers to FAME begin at Level 1.   In order to Advance to Level 2 and to qualify for a Regional Show, athletes must do one of the following:

·        ~  Attend a FAME Camp

·       ~  Take the FAME Online Cyber-Camp

·       ~ Attend a FAME Qualifier Audition (more info TBA)

·       ~  Be 'initiated' by select WNSO Pro Athletes

Level 2 to Level 3 and Level 4:

Advancement to Level 3 and Level 4 is dependent on the number of athletes in a division following the criteria below:

·      Under 5 Athletes: Top 3 advance or it's up to the discretion of the Head Judge

·      6 - 15 Athletes: Top 5 advance to Level 3. First place advances to Level 4.

·      15 - 25 Athletes: Top 10 advance to Level 3.
First place advances to Level 4.

Over 25 Athletes: Top 15 advance to Level 3.
First place advances to Level 4.

Level 3/4 to Level 5 (Pro Status):

To win Pro Status, athletes must be the Overall Winner from Level 3/4 (Advanced/Elite Status) at select Regional events. However, there must be enough contenders for the Overall Title. If not, the winning athlete must be approved by the Head Judge as having met all criteria necessary to be given status as a WNSO Pro. .

 

There's More! Let's Talk About Prizes!

As the FAME World Tour continues to grow, so too are the competitor prize packages! We are working now at assembling some fantastic prizes for our competition winners and will make formal prize announcements on or before January 31, 2008!

One exciting prize opportunity that we just have to share now is a new development within our publishing division, and one that is geared toward athlete promotion and opportunity: FAME will be publishing our very own COMIC BOOK series featuring characters based on our athlete’s likenesses!

Our story is currently in development and we have an internationally recognized art team on board to create a very exciting, action-filled and beautifully rendered comic book which feature a select number of WNSO Pros and highlight them in the two-dimensional world of the graphic novel!

Part two of this exciting prize package includes the promotion of the comic book at trade shows, on television, in print and beyond!

We are working to deliver prize packages that not only reward you for your efforts but also create opportunity for industry growth.

Important Information to Compete:

* You MUST be registered a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the show to receive your event registration package and inclusion in the official event show program!

* For those who do not register 2 weeks prior, you will not be included in the show program.   You must also arrive at the Athlete Registration meeting 1 hour before the official start time to pick up your competitor number and the rest of the forms.   See website for time and location details.


CATEGORIES OF COMPETITION:

Please note:  You can compete in more than one category.  This can actually be a good idea as you never know who else is registered for which category and you may actually surprise yourself and do well.  This is also good for those athletes and models who want to see which category best suits their physique.  As well, individuals who are performing a routine may as well also benefit from the model categories since you are already in top shape.  Plus, it's a great experience and wonderful for additional exposure, photos and stage time!

Females only (all ages)
* Can competed individually (2 rounds) or with a partner (routine only).

Athletes are Divided by:

* Experience:
Advanced  - Level 3
Elite - Level 4

*Height Classes:  Athletes will be divided into height classes when there are at least 6 athletes in a class.  In an event where there is a big skew of athletes the height cutoff may be altered to more evenly divide up the classes.
        
Females: 5'2 and under // over 5'2 to 5'6 // over 5'6***

* Age:
Masters (35 +)
**Masters Champ can win Pro Status as a Masters Pro 

* Pairs:
Can pair with a fitness or bodybuilding counterpart or a non-competitor. 
Routine only.  No symmetry round. Great for siblings, friends, family, partners. Any gender combo.


2 Rounds to Prepare for:

Symmetry Round:
* 2 piece suit. Heels are worn
* Posture is important and maintaining composure at all times in relaxed stance seen from all sides
* You will be required to perform 1/4 turns as well as turns of your choice (eg. 3 point, 1/2 turns)
* Athlete must appear confident and poised yet comfortable
* Show some personality while on stage and have fun with the audience
* Style of walk and turns should be practiced
* Stance and poses should best reflect your attributes

Routine Round
* 2 minutes
* Must include 2 displays of strength and 2 flexibility movements
* Routine should be creative and entertaining and athletes must maintain high energy throughout.
* You should be able to perform all movements flawlessly and with a look of ease.  Do not incorporate moves that you are not comfortable with. Flips are allowed but are not required.  It should not appear as though you are setting up a move.
* Great for dancers, martial artists, gymnasts, cheerleaders, yoga enthusiasts, figure skaters etc.
* Maintain fluidity in your routine
* Incorporate as much as the stage as possible.
* Have fun! Show your personality and talents!
* Props and themes are allowed.

FAME FIGURE 

Females only (all ages):
* This category allows athletes to display their muscled physique in a feminine style. 
* Figure athletes typically do not have as much muscle mass as bodybuilders

Divisions:
Advanced  - Level 3
Elite - Level 4

  * 2 Pro classes:  All Ages //  Masters

Pairs - Can pair with a fitness or bodybuilding counterpart or a non-competitor. 
Routine only.  No posing or symmetry round. Great for siblings, friends, family, partners. Any gender combo.

3 Rounds to Prepare for:
Posing round:
* 6 mandatory poses which must be performed with open hands (no clenched fists).  Heels are worn.
* Judged on proper execution of poses. Must ensure posture is maintained throughout.

Symmetry round:
* Posture is important and maintaining composure at all times in a 'semi-relaxed' stance seen from all sides (1/4 turns)
* 2 piece suit. Heels are worn

Routine round:
* 90 seconds to display your physique in a creative, artistic & entertaining manner.
* Props are allowed. 
* Must include 2 strength moves and 3 of the mandatory poses. 
* Inverted moves are prohibited and will result in point deductions.

FAME MODEL SEARCH 

3 Types of Model Search Competitions:

FAME Fitness Model Search
* Males  & females
* Meant for models who are lean and have muscle tone
* 2 rounds - swimsuit (females wear heels) & themewear or sportswear
* Athletes are Divided by: Experience, Age & Height:
* Age Divisions: 
  *** All ages 
  *** Masters: females - 35+ // males - 40+  Champion becomes a Master Pro.
* Experience Divisions: 
  *** Advanced  - Level 3
  *** Elite - Level 4  
  *** Pro - Level 5  
       2 Pro classes:  All Ages (male / female) //  Masters (male / female)

FAME Muscle Model Search
* Males & females
* Meant for models who are more muscular
* 2 rounds - swimsuit (females wear heels) & themewear or sportswear
* 2 divisions:  General & PRO
* Depending on Final Competitor Count, there may be height divisions of the following:
Females: 5'2 and under // over 5'2 to 5'6 // over 5'6
Males: 5'7 and under // over 5'7 to 5'10 // over 5'10"
*** The overall winner of the General Class turns Pro! 

FAME Bikini Model
* Females only - 1 division unless enough athletes to warrant separate height divisions
(up to 5'2"/ over 5'2" to 5'6"/over 5'6")
* Meant for beach-ready models
* Bikini with heels

Judging:
* Models must appear confident and poised yet comfortable
* Should show some personality while on stage and have fun with the audience
* Style of walk and turns should be practiced
* Stance and poses should best reflect your attributes
* Proper posture must be maintained through out
* You will be required to perform 1/4 turns as well as turns of your choice (eg. 3 point, 1/2 turns)

*** PRO Qualifiers:  Please note that to turn Pro there must be a minimum of 5 athletes in a division. If not, the final decision is up to the head judge and is based on athlete performance and physique.

*** Height Classes:  Only apply once there are 20 athletes or more in the category.  The height cut-off may vary depending on final height distribution of all athletes.
