Welcome to Okinawa!
The Friendship Force International Conference for 2009 will be hosted in Japan, on the Japanese tropical paradise island of Okinawa. Experience a unique blend of Japanese, Chinese and Pacific Island culture while participating in our annual global gathering of Friendship Force leaders from around the world. The conference is set in the city of Naha - central to all of Okinawa's attractions. You'll want to attend all conference sessions and workshops, but there will also be opportunities for excursions to various cultural centers on the island. Following the conference you may extend your stay in the region by returning to the Japanese main islands for a post-conference homestay with one of the participating Friendship Force clubs.
Conference Highlights:
1. Conference plenary sessions with guest speakers featuring Okinawan and Pacific Island culture.
2. The opportunity to help launch Friendship Force activities in a new and unique region of Japan as we invite key leaders to join and discuss the establishment of a Friendship Force in Okinawa.
3. Key conference sessions will be conducted in Japanese and English for the benefit of all delegates.
4. Leadership workshops featuring the implementation of FFI's new global strategic plan.
5. Opportunities for making friends and renewing friendships from around the world...don't miss the karaoke party on Saturday evening!
6. Optional tours to top island attractions on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
7. Join a post-conference homestay with a Japanese Friendship Force club on one of the main islands.
8. Great Okinawan cuisine!
The Conference Fee is $315 (USD) and includes all workshops and coffee breaks, plenary sessions with keynote speakers, lunch on Friday and Saturday, a karaoke party on Saturday night, and a closing banquet with dancing Sunday night.
Optional tours and a post-conference homestay are available for an additional fee (see the tabs at the top of this page for more details)
