Course Description:

The FREE workshop will equip you to apply LEEDtm for Commercial Interiors to campus renovation projects. The course is geared to the needs of project managers; prior knowledge of and familiarity with LEED is highly recommended. Participants should have taken a LEED-CI Technical Review workshop or will need to review the LEED-CI Rating Guide prior to the workshop.

Goals:


Workshop participants will benefit from:

  • A summary of the changes to LEED-CI and LEED in general, initiated by the roll-out of LEED v.3
  • Lessons-learned from UC project managers who have worked on LEED-CI projects over the last year and a half
  • A breakout exercise that will allow participants to explore the LEED-CI checklist in more detail

Instructor Information:

Matt St. Clair is the Manager of Sustainability for the University of California, Office of the President.

Jaime Van Mourik is the Higher Education Sector Manager from the US Green Building Counsel.

Erik Ring is a LEED-CI faculty member and an Associate at LPA, Inc., which focuses on sustainability and energy efficiency in buildings and communities.

Payment Instructions

UC CSU IOU Energy Efficiency Partnership Program
There is no payment needed for this program for the University of California, California State University and California Community College staff, faculty and students.  However, due to the popularity of this program it is imperative to register only if you intend to come. If you register and find you are unable to attend, please be certain to cancel your registration so others may take your seat. If you don't cancel by the close of business June 19, 2009 and do not attend, your campus may be charged $50.00.
 
As part of the funding from the CPUC, we are also providing travel stipends to campuses who send staff/faculty/students who come from distances over 75 miles. Please bring accounting information OR the name and phone number of an accounting contact so we may provide the stipend of up to $200.00. Breakfast and lunch are provided.  Thank you.
