The Maryland-Asia Environmental Partnership (MD-AEP) and the American Council of Independent Laboratories are pleased to announce our "Environmental Business Opportunities in Vietnam" forum to be held on May 28 with the support of the International Gateway at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, Washington Laboratories and American TCB.

Join business, government and academia to discuss Vietnam’s economy and its environmental outlook.  Besides China and India, Vietnam has been growing at breakneck speed over the past decade.  Vietnam’s phenomenal growth has come at a price as pollution, water and energy shortages are now impacting Vietnam’s future.  Vietnam continues to adapt to the World Trade Organization's standards requirements to ensure its future attractiveness as a foreign direct investment location and global export markets.  Environmental standards are continuing to emerge as Vietnam grapples with its pollution problems and sustainable energy needs.

Don’t miss this important event to hear key stakeholder views on these topics: Vietnam’s Economic Outlook - Vietnam’s Environmental Needs - Vietnam’s Accession into the World Trade Organization: Environmental Implications for Industry -  Emerging Environmental Opportunities and Funding sources for Environmental Business in Vietnam.
