The Steering Committee of the 9th Annual Binational Policy Forum on Migration and Health, the State of New Mexico, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Center for Health Policy at the University of New Mexico are pleased to invite you to join us at this year’s event October 5-6, 2009 in Santa Fe, NM.

This two-day event will convene key stakeholders from the United States, Mexico, Canada, South and Central American countries to discuss migrant/immigrant health challenges and to explore unique opportunities to work collaboratively on solutions to eliminate the health iniquities experienced by the underserved Latino populations living across the United States.

The policy forum also serves as the official launching event of this year's Binational Health Week, an annual weeklong series of health promotion and health education activities held across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. The events are coordinated by networks forged among agencies and community organizations with the purpose of reaching out to the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people, especially those without medical coverage.
