Goal: 

To provide up-to-date, state-of-the-art information on recent advances in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic surgery, perinatal medicine and primary care to obstetricians, gynecologists, primary care physicians, nurses and allied health professionals. Lectures, breakout and breakfast sessions, case studies and panel discussions will be conducted by the internationally known faculty to provide information which health care professionals will use to increase knowledge and competence in order to improve quality of care and health outcomes.


Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of the conference, learners should be able to:

1. Know how to perform appropriate treatment for women with abnormal genital tract bleeding.
2. Know how to apply the 2008 NICHD Electronic Fetal Monitoring Guidelines to practice.
3. Know how to perform appropriate management of women with urinary incontinence.
4. Apply risk management systems to office practice.
5. Know how to apply recommendations for vaccination in pregnancy.

Proposed Performance Measures:
 
1. Percentage of women receiving prenatal care who are screened for hepatitis B by hepatitis B surface antigen testing. (ACOG PB #86, October 2007)
2. The percentage of patients who have endometrial sampling performed and results of histopathology reviewed before endometrial ablation. (ACOG PB#81, May 2007)
3. The percentage of patients evaluated for an asymptomatic pelvic mass who receive a transvaginal ultrasound examination. (ACOG PB#83, July 2007)
4. The percentage of women with diagnosed symptomatic pelvic organ prolapse who are offered pessary use as first-line treatment. (ACOG PB#85, September 2007)

Cancellation:
 
The full course tuition is refundable, less a $100 processing fee, if your cancellation is received, in writing, prior to January 18, 2010. (The $100 processing fee is nonrefundable regardless of the reason for cancellation.) No refunds will be granted after this time or for non-attendance. The conference committee reserves the right to cancel this conference in the event of an unforeseen circumstance, or if the minimum acceptable registration is not attained. In the event of a cancellation the Office of CME is obligated to refund the registration fee only.
