This course is designed to bring together leaders in research and medicine with a multidisciplinary group of healthcare practitioners from the Rocky Mountain Region.

The Activity focuses on practical approaches to the treatment of Thyroid Nodules and Thyroid Cancers. Its central purpose is to create enduring performance improvement that generates compelling advances in patient care.

This program will integrate the most current scientific and clinical information and incorporate case-based learning methods and audience response systems. A discussion period after each panel discussion will be used to clarify and debate issues.


Target Audience


This program is designed to benefit Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in the specialty fields of:    Endocrinology, Endocrine Surgery, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Oncology.

Educational Objectives


Upon completion of this activity the participant should be better able to:


  • Review standards of care and approaches to the Thyroid Nodule
  • Determine when to use radioiodine as adjuvant therapy
  • Interpret serum thyroglobulin levels in patients with thyroid cancer
  • Summarize the current state of the art approaches to patients with advanced thyroid cancer
