The U.S. Department of Energy’s Hydrogen Program, Idaho National Laboratory, The Idaho State Department of Education, Northwestern Nazarene University and the NEED Project are pleased to announce the upcoming Idaho H2 Educate Workshop. Classroom teachers (grades 6-12) will have a unique opportunity to learn about hydrogen and to participate in hands-on activities to teach students about hydrogen. The workshop will be held from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on November 7, 2009 at Northwestern Nazarene University in Boise.
The workshop is free thanks to the workshop sponsors. Breakfast, lunch, and parking are provided. Idaho National Laboratory is sponsoring credits from Northwestern Nazarene University for each participant. Each educator receives an H2 Educate Kit with over $500 of equipment and student books.
The NEED Project’s mission is to promote an energy conscious and educated society. NEED is the nation’s leading provider of energy education programs and materials to schools. All NEED learning activities are correlated to Idaho education standards. The program will make teaching hydrogen exciting and fun as you return to your classroom.
