Frostburg State University is offering this program to provide entry-level knowledge on design, installation, and maintenance of residential electric generation systems using photovoltaic (PV) solar modules and/or small wind turbines. More information please visit the workshop web site
8-week online course supported by on-site 3-day instruction and hands-on training will prepare the participants for Photovoltaic PV Entry Level Certificate of Knowledge test of the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). In addition, the workshop provides equivalent knowledge for small wind turbines for the entry level test currently being developed by NABCEP.
The online part of the spring workshop will start on March 29, 2010. During every week of the online part, instructional materials will be posted on the course web site. The participants will have the flexibility to review the course materials and check their understanding at their own pace and schedule.
A 3-day instruction and hands-on training will be held in the Compton Science Center at Frostburg State University on May 28, 29, and 30.

The registration fee for the workshop is $850. This includes access to 8-week online instruction as well as the 3-day intensive lectures and hands on training at Frostburg State University.
