This event will inform and inspire people to build, mobilize and advocate for sustainable “green” communities. Featuring Steve Hewitt and Mike Monegeon, this conference is for Builders, Non-profits, Green enthusiasts, Community members, & Habitat affiliates.
Steve Hewitt - City Administrator, Greensburg, Kansas
When the town of Greensburg was completely leveled by tornados in 2007, Steve led his community to rebuild totally “green” from the ground up. For this he was named one of
Governing Magazine’s 2009 Public Officials of the Year, and also 2008 City and County Magazine’s Municipal Leader of the Year.
Mike Monegeon - Habitat for Humanity International
Mike facilitates the design and development of learning opportunities for a five year partnership between HFHI and The Home Depot Foundation that plans to build 5,000 energy efficient, healthy and affordable homes.
