This workshop introduces students to legal issues, information on mobile service providers and requirements for searching mobile handsets. Hands-on instruction covers the acquisition and analysis of GSM, CDMA and iDEN mobile phones and SIM cards, using multiple types of software from Device Seizure to the new DataPilot. Students will learn the basics of the Cellular Network and will have a foundation in the history of cellular technology.
This class is perfect for the Detective/Investigator and those just starting off in the field of Mobile Forensics. There is plenty of hands on with SIM cards and phones. New phones are constantly being added to the curriculum, so that the students will be working with phones that are out in the street, now like the Nokia 6682, Motorola RAZR, L7, iDEN i860, LG VX8100, Samsung A900, LG VX4650 plus many more models.
The cost for the 4 day course is dependant upon choices listed below
- $2150 - Includes all software and hardware
- $1500 - Includes all software and hardware except Paraben's Device Seizure
- $1000 - Does not include any paid software or hardware. Instruction only.
We recommend out of town participants arrive in Houston the evening before class starts. The classroom holds 16 people and we will be full. As such please confirm the number of attendees ASAP.
A rental car is recommended for transportation. Taxi service typically costs around $70 one-way, to/from the airport to/from the conference center.
For those that are flying out the same day the course ends, we recommend scheduling flights after 7:30PM to ensure plenty of time to get to the airport. We recommend flying in and out of Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH) as it is about 40 minutes from the training location.
