Innovation Michigan, is an event and special publication dedicated to honoring the thought leaders and companies forging Michigan's next chapter! 2007 marks our second year publishing our award winning special publication and hosting one of the areas most dynamic events!
After a nomination and selection process, 15 companies have been chosen and will be honored for their efforts in three areas:
- An innovative process that has transformed the way they do business,
- Diversification of product offerings to sustain in a new economy, or
- Implementation of a new business strategy that has allowed them to think outside the box
Honorees represent the Fortune 500, middle-market, and small business/non-profit sectors from across many industries in the state. An Innovator of the Year will also be awarded. The special publication will be distributed at the event and will also be included as a supplement in the Ann Arbor and Oakland Business Reviews on October 11th.
Event attendance will include nominees, honorees and business leaders interested in creating and fostering innovation in their companies. Our Keynote, Sarah Miller Caldicot, great grandniece to Thomas Edison, will discuss the 5 pillars of Innovation, an excerpt from her book "Innovate Like Edison". Afterwards private tours of the Henry Ford Museum and networking will commence.
