The 2008 International Orthotropic Bridge Conference, sponsored by ASCE Sacramento Section, will be held 25-29 August 2008 in Sacramento, California, USA. The goal is to bring owners, designers, fabricators, material suppliers, contractors, researchers, professors, and students together to focus on orthotropic steel decks and bridges including design, fabrication, inspection, and maintenance. The conference will also include workshops and a two-day symposium. As a special feature, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will provide a chapter-by-chapter review of their new FHWA Orthotropic Manual. Participant comments on each chapter will be solicited during the review. This will occur in conjunction with the conference.
