Bottom line, yesterday’s contracts won’t work in the today’s economic climate. This program will review the motivation of vendors to maintain status quo and arm you with tactics and techniques to review and evaluate your own contracts intelligently. Webinar attendees will learn: Speakers: Katherine M. Lowry, JD Katherine brings over 10 years of experience in leading roles representing both law firms and information vendors. Her former positions include Library Services Director, Director of Business Development and Librarian Relations Manager for a large information vendor. Her distinctive experience enables her to deliver creative solutions within the library while maximizing the firm’s relationship with information vendors. Katherine started her career by working for two large information vendors while in law school and upon graduation quickly excelled as a law librarian specializing in legal research, cost recovery implementation, and competitive intelligence. She then returned to the information vendor space, taking a position as a Librarian Relations Manager, where she excelled at providing customer service and assisted firm’s the implementation of new products and services. Katherine has a BA from Stetson University and a JD from the University of Dayton School of Law. She is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries and the Legal Marketing Association. Sarah Clark Kavanagh, Esq. Sarah's first job was in a public library at the age of 14. Ever since then, it seems she's always been in a library whether it was in law school, practicing law or in the offices of her law firm clients. Sarah makes sure her clients are aware of the latest technological innovations to increase productivity and ROI. She also spent the last decade working with law firms to: Sarah received her BS from Iowa State University and JD from the University of Iowa, College of Law. Cathy Hardy
Cathy Hardy is the Library Services Manager for Hanson Bridgett LLP. With over 25 years of library experience, Cathy has worked in a variety of library settings. In her role at Hanson Bridgett, she is responsible for negotiating vendor contracts, overseeing research projects, managing staff and materials. She is a frequent moderator and speaker on topics involving Law Firm Library Management, and How to Work with Marketing/Competitive Intelligence. Prior to joining Hanson Bridgett, Cathy was the Library Services Manager for Heller Ehrman. Cathy received her B.A. and her Masters in Library Science from UCLA.
