Last week’s announcement by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to proceed with the Registered Traveler (RT) program in the second half of 2006 lends new life to this important program. Join the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and National Chamber Foundation for The Effective Registered Traveler: Aviation in the Fast Lane on May 3 to discuss the Registered Traveler program, including the need for inter-operability among RT airports and a basic business model for implementation. If the private sector prevails, not only will there be an actual fast lane in security checkpoints, but airport screeners will utilize new technology that will ensure a more secure and efficient screening process for air travelers.

Registration and lunch will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The program will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and a reception will follow from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

For more information, call Danielle Walker at (202) 463-5500 or email ncfevents@uschamber.com. For sponsorship information, contact Brent Tjarks at (202) 463-3187.
