The U.S. Chamber's Business Civic Leadership Center and the Chapel Hill/ Carrboro Chamber of Commerce invite you to join community leaders from businesses, foundations, and academia to discuss and explore sustainability and sustainable development. The event is part of a series of forums that BCLC is holding across the United States in 2008 as part of its Corporate Community Investment initiative (CCI).

During this roundtable discussion participants will have the opportunity to:

·         Learn and share about balancing the priorities of social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and economic prosperity.

·         Network with local and national leaders.

·         Discuss regional and national implications of the green and sustainability movement.

·         Explore what other cities across the U.S. are doing to improve their communities.

·         Learn about a certification program currently being developed to assess small business sustainability.
