SAFETY AND SECURITY INFORMATION 

We hope that you enjoy the upcoming events and remember that Security is a team effort.  Thanks for your partnership in this effort!

EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION:

If you have registered with Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) by the deadline for these events, you will be on our contact list for any emergency or important security notifications.  

In event of emergency, you will receive a text message to provide you with instructions and/or confirm you are not in need of assistance.

SECURITY RELATED INCIDENTS:

Please share all security-related incidents with the PPFA Security Operations Center at (212) 261-4743, via email at SOC@ppfa.org or notify us on site, as soon as possible. 

If it is an EMERGENCY, call 911 immediately.

 

SUSPICIOUS INDIVIDUAL, PACKAGE OR INCIDENT:

·       Notify the Security team in person or the PPFA Security Operations Center at (212) 261-4743 or via email at SOC@ppfa.org.

·       Provide as much detail as possible.

·       Staff or Security will assess the situation and take appropriate action.

 

OPPOSITION / CIVIL DISTURBANCE:

·     Notify the Security team in person or the PPFA Security Operations Center at (212) 261-4743 or via email at SOC@ppfa.org.

  • Provide any details.
  • Remember PPFA’s non-engagement policy, which states in part:
  • Strictly avoid engaging in conversation or any verbal exchange with opposition.
  • Tell security or a manager if you see activity you believe is illegal or unsafe.
  • Avoid being in physical proximity with opposition.


LOST CREDENTIALS (FOR TRAINING EVENT ON SUNDAY)

If anyone has lost or found an event badge, please notify Security personnel or Registration immediately.  These badges will have security features that are required for entry into our event. 


OTHER HELPFUL REMINDERS:

PLEASE:

·       Be mindful of your conversations in public locations.

·       Avoid discussing sensitive or confidential information in public.

·       Do not post any information about the location, date, or time of the event on social media.

·       If you are on social media, please turn off your location settings and/or post after you have left the event.
