Please join the Border Trade Alliance in El Paso, Texas on October 5th for the unveiling of Nuevo Esquema de Empresas Certificadas (NEEC).

BTA is teaming up with SAT/Aduanas and CBP officials to discuss NEEC - Mexico's new voluntary trusted shipper program that will offer participating companies in the U.S. and Canada fewer inspections and faster clearances for meeting specified requirements at the US-Mexico border.

Additional Topics Presented:

        -- Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism
(C-TPAT), operated by the office of Customs and Border Protection, is a voluntary government-business initiative that offers participating companies reduced inspections and priority processing at the border. CBP C-TPAT officials will discuss their new role at the US-Mexico border alongside NEEC.

-- PREDICT is a program developed by the FDA that will assist entry reviewers in targeting higher-risk shipments for examination. It will also expedite the clearance of lower-risk cargo, but only if accurate and complete data are provided by importers and entry filers.

        --  Ready Lanes
is a program administered by Customs and Border Protection at various ports of entry at the northern and southern international borders. If frequent cross-border travelers obtain the required documents and identification specified by CBP - travelers will have access to a primary vehicle lane effectively reducing wait time at the ports of entry.
