Senator Lugar is the Republican leader of the Foreign Relations Committee and a member and former chairman of the Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee.  Senator Lugar is a long time advocate of furthering the relationship between the United States and Brazil.  He introduced the United States-Brazil Energy Cooperation Pact in 2007, twice urged President Obama to negotiate a U.S.-Brazil Tax Treaty, and welcomed the 2010 U.S.-Brazil temporary agreement to avoid nearly $1 billion in trade relatiation against U.S. goods and intellectual property rights connected to the WTO Cotton Case. He is a proponent of farm programs reforms that would lead to a definitive solution to the dispute.

Brazil Forum is the premier event series focused on Brazil-U.S. trade and investment policy issues.
