This symposium is designed to provide the necessary knowledge and skills for renal health care professionals who wish to broaden their knowledge of renal and pancreas transplantation as a treatment modality for their CKD patients. It is specifically designed for dialysis nurses, patient care technicians, dialysis social workers and dieticians. The symposium will also provide initial and recertification for Transplant Surgeon Designees.
Upon successful completion of the symposium, all participating RN's will be certified as 2013 Transplant
Surgeon Designees according to the guidelines established by the Quality Insights Renal Network Three guidelines.
This activity has been submitted to the American Nephrology Nurses’ Association (ANNA) for approval to award contact hours to nurses and patient care technicians. The ANNA is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
This activity has been submitted to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) for approval to award contact hours to dialysis social workers, and to the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) for approval to award contact hours to dialysis dieticians.
