The ​Connecticut ​District ​Export ​Council ​and ​Airbus ​Americas ​invite ​you ​to ​join ​U.S. ​Senator ​Richard ​Blumenthal ​and ​Airbus ​Americas' ​Chairman ​Allan ​McArtor ​for ​Connecticut’s ​first ​Airbus ​Potential ​Supplier ​Summit ​on ​December ​9, ​2013. ​

At ​this ​event, ​Connecticut ​suppliers ​will ​learn ​more ​about ​opportunities ​to ​work ​within ​the ​Airbus ​supply ​chain. ​Airbus ​is ​the ​leading ​aircraft ​manufacturer ​whose ​customer ​focus, ​commercial ​know-how, ​technological ​leadership, ​and ​manufacturing ​efficiency ​have ​led ​to ​its ​continued ​success ​in ​the ​aerospace ​industry. ​With ​an ​estimated ​$5 ​billion ​in ​direct ​Airbus ​procurement ​last ​year, ​Connecticut ​ranks ​second ​in ​Airbus ​spending ​in ​the ​U.S. ​

Small ​and ​mid-sized ​aerospace ​manufacturers ​will ​have ​an ​opportunity ​to ​learn ​about ​the ​requirements ​and ​current ​needs ​of ​Airbus, ​meet ​supply ​chain ​executives, ​and ​sign ​up ​for ​one-on-one ​meetings ​with ​procurement ​managers. ​Businesses ​interested ​in ​developing ​products ​that ​meet ​aerospace ​requirements ​are ​welcome ​as ​well. ​The ​event ​focus ​will ​be ​on ​manufacturers ​of ​qualified ​aircraft-related ​products ​in ​five ​key ​procurement ​areas: ​structures ​and ​materials, ​systems, ​propulsion, ​cabin, ​and ​new ​technologies.

• One-on-one ​meetings ​will ​be ​scheduled ​based ​on ​the ​applicability ​of ​a ​company’s ​product ​to ​Airbus/Airbus ​Tier ​1 ​suppliers’ ​current ​needs ​and ​are ​made ​at ​the ​discretion ​of ​Airbus ​and ​Airbus ​Tier ​1s. ​Registering ​for ​the ​event ​does ​not ​guarantee ​a ​meeting ​with ​Airbus.
