Phonics, ​Spelling, ​and ​Vocabulary ​in ​the ​Reading/Writing ​Classroom ​(Grades ​K–3) ​is ​a ​graduate-level ​course ​that ​will ​take ​an ​in-depth ​look ​at ​the ​teaching ​of ​phonics ​in ​a ​primary ​classroom, ​focusing ​on ​the ​nine ​critical ​areas ​of ​phonics ​and ​spelling ​learning ​as ​well ​as ​the ​role ​of ​letter-sound ​relationships ​in ​the ​reading ​and ​writing ​process. ​You ​can ​take ​this ​course ​for ​noncredit ​and ​earn ​35 ​professional ​development ​hours, ​or ​receive ​graduate ​credit ​for ​an ​additional ​fee ​and ​by ​completing ​an ​assignment.
