Girls on the Run of Northern Virginia is a non-profit organization that offers a curriculum-based youth development program for girls in the 3rd through 8th grades. We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident, using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. How to Apply for Girls on the Run or Girls on Track
A parent or guardian must complete the application form for each girl. Please note that Girls on the Run teams meet twice a week between September 29 and December 5, 2014 and it is important for girls to attend all practices.
Complete the application form (which begins below) and then enter payment information. Applying does NOT guarantee a slot on a team. At schools where more than 20 girls apply for Girls on the Run or 15 girls for Girls on Track, we use an automated lottery system to select 20 for Girls on the Run or 15 for Girls on Track participants at random for each team. Because our program requires a minimum of 8 participants, teams where fewer than 8 participants applied will be canceled for the season. Your credit card will only be charged if your daughter is accepted onto a team.
What Happens Next? Once registration closes, GOTR NOVA will notify all applicants and lottery participants of their status by email.
