Description

On March 4 and 5, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Corporate Citizenship Center, UN Women, and United Nations Office for Partnerships will celebrate International Women’s Day in New York City. This annual forum brings together leaders committed to the economic empowerment of women.

Building off the fantastic learnings and discussions from speakers such as Chelsea Clinton, Melanne Verveer, Soledad O’Brien, and Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka; we will continue to focus on the solutions. The event will take a deep dive into the many challenges that women and girls still face in attaining economic independence. Join over 500 private and public sector leaders to explore empowerment solutions and the transition to sustainable and resilient positive impact.

In 2015, we will focus on how to build a brighter future for women and girls around the globe. During the forum we will have expert-led discussions on issues such as agriculture, maternal health, STEM education, women as the individual contributor, and more. We will also explore the vital role that women and girls play in the economy and the role of the private sector in building a supportive ecosystem for empowerment.

Through the private and public sector, vital stepping stones have been put in place to help bring women and girls into positions of opportunity and independence. Don’t miss this powerful convening; join us on March 4 and 5 to continue to build that path to a brighter future and global prosperity.

This two-day event, is a continuation of the success at last year's International Women's Day Forum. Please stay tuned for more updates, regarding speakers and detailed session descriptions.
