Description

The ​University ​of ​Washington ​Autism ​Center ​is ​partnering ​with ​the ​Haring ​Center ​- ​PDU ​to ​offer ​a ​workshop ​on ​Transforming ​Challenging ​Behaviors ​in ​your ​School ​and ​Community ​in ​Tacoma. ​ ​In ​addition ​to ​clock ​hours, ​we ​will ​be ​able ​to ​offer ​BACB ​CEU's. ​Participants ​can ​receive ​both ​and ​should ​note ​request ​on ​registration ​form.

Are ​challenging ​behaviors ​impacting ​your ​classroom? ​ ​Do ​you ​know ​why ​they ​are ​happening? ​ ​Do ​you ​know ​what ​to ​do ​about ​them? ​ ​Attend ​this ​2-day ​workshop ​and ​learn ​to:
•Effectively ​identify ​challenging ​behaviors ​and ​teach ​skills ​to ​replace ​them
•Implement ​strategies ​to ​prevent ​challenging ​behaviors ​and ​tips ​for ​what ​to ​do ​"in ​the ​moment"
•Use ​practical ​and ​manageable ​systems ​for ​collecting ​and ​analyzing ​data
•Collaborate ​with ​teams ​to ​monitor ​behavior ​change ​plans, ​including ​fidelity ​of ​implementation

Participants ​will ​engage ​in ​case ​studies ​and ​activities ​to ​enhance ​learning. ​ ​Additionally, ​you ​will ​have ​opportunities ​to ​observe ​effective ​positive ​behavior ​support ​strategies ​in ​action.

$325 ​per ​person
$305 ​per ​person ​for ​Early ​Registrations ​received ​by ​February ​28, ​2017

Cancellation/Refund ​Policy:

Cancellations ​received ​at ​least ​two ​business ​weeks ​prior ​to ​course ​start ​date ​are ​eligible ​to ​receive ​a ​full ​refund ​less ​a ​$20 ​administrative ​fee.

Cancellations ​must ​be ​received ​in ​writing ​by ​e-mail ​to ​uwautism@uw.edu, ​fax ​to ​206-598-7815, ​or ​U.S. ​mail ​(UW ​Autism ​Center, ​Box ​357920, ​Seattle, ​WA ​98195, ​Attn: ​Training ​Team) ​prior ​to ​the ​stated ​deadline.

Cancellations ​received ​after ​the ​stated ​deadline ​will ​forfeit ​the ​full ​registration ​fee. ​Refunds ​will ​not ​be ​available ​for ​registrants ​who ​choose ​not ​to ​attend ​a ​class.

UW ​Autism ​Center ​reserves ​the ​right ​to ​cancel ​a ​course ​due ​to ​low ​enrollment, ​inclement ​weather, ​or ​other ​circumstances ​that ​would ​make ​the ​course ​non-viable. ​If ​UW ​Autism ​Center ​cancels ​a ​course, ​registrants ​will ​be ​notified ​within ​48 ​hours ​of ​the ​first ​class ​date ​and ​offered ​a ​full ​refund ​or ​the ​option ​to ​transfer ​registration ​to ​another ​course.
