The University of Washington Autism Center is partnering with the Haring Center - PDU to offer a workshop on Transforming Challenging Behaviors in your School and Community in Tacoma. In addition to clock hours, we will be able to offer BACB CEU's. Participants can receive both and should note request on registration form.
Are challenging behaviors impacting your classroom? Do you know why they are happening? Do you know what to do about them? Attend this 2-day workshop and learn to:
•Effectively identify challenging behaviors and teach skills to replace them
•Implement strategies to prevent challenging behaviors and tips for what to do "in the moment"
•Use practical and manageable systems for collecting and analyzing data
•Collaborate with teams to monitor behavior change plans, including fidelity of implementation
Participants will engage in case studies and activities to enhance learning. Additionally, you will have opportunities to observe effective positive behavior support strategies in action.
