After your have checked in, grab a bite to eat and some coffee, you will then be directed to your volunteer area along with a map of the event area. If you do not have a job assignment, you will be assigned a job that morning. When you report to your assigned position, your Lead will then explain exactly what you will be doing and what you need to know.
After you have completed your assignment, you MUST return and check out at the Volunteer Check-In Booth. All volunteers are asked to stay through the entirety of their shift. We will sign off on volunteer hours so please bring any forms that need my signature but we will also have verification forms available on site as well.
Below is the event schedule and map of the campus. Please familiarize yourself with this information. We ask that you be flexible and patient as some job assignments might be changed at last minute to accommodate needs of the day. Also, because more than half of our participants are families who have lost loved ones, we ask that you remember to be respectful at all times. Please remember to wear comfortable closed toed shoes only, sunscreen and a hat.
If you need to contact someone prior to the event, please feel free to contact Erika at (213) 356-5213 or at (213) 200-4559. We look forward to having a successful 10th Annual Donate Life Run/Walk that is only made possible because of volunteers like yourself!!!
